U.S. Market & Trade Analyst

Job Responsibilities

We seek an experienced U.S. Market & Trade Analyst to analyse U.S. economic, trade and regulatory landscapes and deliver actionable insights for strategic decision-making. Applicants should possess strong analytical skills and expertise in U.S. trade policy, tariffs and compliance; backgrounds in international trade, market intelligence or policy research are preferred.

1.Carry out in-depth research and analysis of the U.S. macroeconomy, industrial sectors, market trends and overall business environment.

2.Track and assess U.S. trade policies, tariffs, trade agreements as well as federal and state regulatory rules, including import and export, customs and cross-border compliance requirements.

3.Monitor global trade, supply chain and customs enforcement updates to identify business risks, opportunities, competition patterns and market entry barriers.

4.Study U.S. regulatory bodies, product certification, licensing standards and sector-specific compliance frameworks.

5.Analyze macroeconomic data and geopolitical shifts affecting U.S. market and cross-border trade.

6.Compose research reports, policy briefings and executive summaries with actionable advice, present findings to decision-makers and support strategic planning, market expansion, investment review and risk assessment.

Job Requirements

1.Bachelor’s degree or above in Economics, International Business, Law, Public Policy, International Relations, Supply Chain Management or related disciplines.

2.Relevant working experience in market research, economic analysis, international trade, trade compliance, consulting or regulatory affairs.

3.Solid knowledge of the U.S. economic landscape, commercial rules and regulatory system, with expertise in U.S. trade policy, tariffs, customs, import/export compliance, cross-border commerce or market competitive analysis.

4.Outstanding research, analytical and problem-solving capabilities, able to convert policy and economic data into actionable business insights.

5.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, competent in drafting professional reports and presenting sophisticated information concisely.

6.Meticulous, well-organized, capable of handling multiple research projects concurrently; proficiency in Microsoft Office suite is required, and familiarity with economic databases and official data sources is preferred.

7.Prior experience at consulting firms, multinationals, research institutes, government or trade authorities is a strong plus.
